1. What is your track record?

Use Data to Build Better Sites‎

Established in 2008, Sites n Stores is one of the largest, most trusted web design companies in Australia. In that period of time, we have built 8000 websites, so we think it’s safe to say that we have a considerable breadth of expertise developing and designing websites.

We specialise in providing a full suite of digital marketing-related services to small and medium-sized businesses, and our clientele spans a broad range of business types and industries. Our clients are everyone from tradespeople, medical professionals and fashion designers, to restauranteurs and health/fitness professionals. We have ongoing relationships with many of our clients, whose continuing, long-term website and digital marketing requirements we continue to cater for.

Because of our extensive experience servicing a diverse range of business types and needs, you can be confident that we are more than qualified to maximise your company’s online presence.

2. Can you show me some examples?

Absolutely. Click here to go to the quotes page so we can send you some examples of the work we’ve done.

3. Are the website designs generated from templates or are they custom designed from scratch?

We don’t believe in templates. This may be tempting – it might seem like an easy, less expensive option, but this will ultimately result in a website that is identical to everyone else’s. Your website should be unique – to stand out and function optimally, it should be tailored to your individual business needs and target audience. We believe that there is no “one size fits all” option in website design unless you’re satisfied with homogeneity and mediocrity. There are many compelling reasons why we opt for custom design over templates: to name another, customisation also means that your website will be designed to be optimised on search engines.

4. What is the cost?

We make sure that we detail exactly what will be provided for the amount you are quoted. We always ensure that the complete scope of work is made clear before we begin a project. The amount you are quoted takes into account a range of different factors, including complexity of the design and size/breadth of the project. Because this can vary drastically, we prefer to provide more accurate figures based on information you can provide about your requirements. Click here to go to the quotes page for a non-obligation quote.

5. How long will it take?

Timelines for completion will vary depending on multiple factors, such as size and complexity of the project, and what other services are to be provided - for example, professional copywriting, logo design, etc (see below for a list of all the services we offer). On average, however, it generally takes 28 days to build a website. This timeframe will also depend on you – web design is a collaborative process, and some input and information from you, as well as approval during each stage of the process, will be needed. We strive to keep you updated every step of the way, but also appreciate your timely cooperation in maximising your experience with us.

6. Can I edit/update the website myself?

Yes! Your website can be built so that you can make changes and updates to it yourself once it has been handed over. The content management system (CMS) we will build into the site is easy to use, so you don’t need advanced technical knowledge to edit text, add pictures, and a range of other self-managed functions. We also offer complimentary training once we hand the site over so that you’re confident making changes or additions yourself.

7. How will you make sure my site is findable?

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is one of the most popular services we provide to ensure that your site ranks highly on search engines like Google. Your site will be built with best SEO practices in mind, and our team of digital marketing specialists will tailor an SEO campaign to suit your needs.

8. Will the site be mobile compatible or responsive?

Given the now prevalent use of smartphones, we think designing websites to be responsive on mobile phones – and on all devices, from desktop PCs and laptops to tablets – is essential. We provide this service at very competitive rates to reflect this.

9. What if something goes wrong later on?

We provide troubleshooting and tech support, and have an Online Development Team who will be able to help you as speedily as possible.

10. What other services are included?

We offer a full range of digital marketing services to suit your business needs. These include:

  • Logo design
  • Professional copywriting, including SEO copywriting
  • Domain names and hosting
  • SEO
  • PPC
  • Social media marketing

11. How do you plan for change or growth?

We understand that both businesses and technologies change over time, so we strive to design your site to be as flexible as possible to allow for future adaptation and expansion. We will build your website on an open source platform, not proprietary. This means that the source code is available for modification or enhancement by anyone. This is important because it means that you will be able to change or add things with an easy-to-use content management system, with a variety of different options, and with access to numerous communities and forums.

12. What do I need to supply?

Web design is a two-sided process, so while we’ll do all the hard work here so that you can focus on running your business, we will need some input from you initially and along the way.

Some of the things we will ask you for before and during the design process:

  • Information about your business, including the products and services you offer, location, mission statement, etc.
  • Your aesthetic preferences in terms of the look and feel you’d like for the site – your choice regarding design elements like colour, layout, etc.
  • Images, links and information you want to use on the site
  • If we are providing you with professional copywriting, information about content – if not, you will need to provide this content yourself
  • Feedback for each stage of the design process
